Amped exists to show you your own car's data. This page is a plain-English account of what that involves. It is a working draft and will be finalized before general launch.

What we collect

Two things. Your account: your name, email, and a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself). And your car's telemetry, streamed through Tesla's official Fleet API with your consent: battery and charge state, charging sessions, drives, and location history.

Why we collect it

To turn the raw stream into the readings Amped shows you — charging costs, drive history, battery health. That is the whole purpose. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.

Where it lives

On a single server we operate. Your Tesla access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. The only third party in the path is Tesla itself, whose API the data comes from.

Who can see it

You. We do not run third-party analytics or ad-tech; the only incidental record is ordinary server logs kept for operating and securing the service.

Keeping and deleting

Your data stays while your account is open. Ask us to delete it — email hello@heyamped.com — and we remove your account and its telemetry within 30 days. You can also revoke Amped's access to your car at any time from your Tesla account.
